Drain Camera
Drain Camera
Once a blocked drain is cleared it is important to determine what the cause of the blockage was to make sure the problem is fixed and won’t just happen again after we leave. In order to ensure the blockage is fully cleared we will insert our state of the art drain camera into the drain to determine what has caused this blockage in the first place.
Our drain camera uses a mini reel with an illuminated lens. This reel connects to a monitor that both our team and our customer are able to watch, as the camera head is pushed down the drain to the problematic area. Once the camera hits the problematic section, we are able to see key diagnostic measurements from the monitor, such as how many metres the camera has gone down the drain as well as what angle the camera head is on. This can tell us if the drain has adequate fall or even too much fall. We are able to see if there are breaks in the drain, tree roots or any other obstruction that may be causing a blockage.
From here we are able to push a button on the monitor that tells the camera head to emit a signal from it’s location. Once the drain camera head is emitting a signal from the problem area, we are able to pick up this signal using our locating wand from ground level above. Once the signal is detected markers will be placed on the ground to pin point the exact location and depth of the problem.
From here we are able to make recommendations on the best course of action to resolve the fault and prevent the blockage re occurring. Our team uses only the best ridgid brand drain cameras for the most accuracy and the best result for our customers.
