Pressure jets are the latest and greatest when it comes to clearing blocked drains. Unlike conventional metal coil electric eel style machines, pressure jets do not lose power over long distances. This means that even in the trickiest of blocked drains our pressure jets are able to clear drains that older outdated machines may not be able to clear.
Pressure jets use a feed hose that pushes water into our machine. The pressure jet machine then uses a petrol engine to pressurise this water to around 5000kpa (that’s a lot of pressure!). This pressure then runs from the pressure jet through a feed hose that connects to a mini reel that we then feed into your blocked drain.
At the end of the mini reel, we use different types of cutting heads that when under pressure rotate and effectively cut through any obstruction within the drain that may be causing a blockage. Pressure jets are incredibly effective for clearing both stormwater and sewer blockages. The use of water pressure gives our technicians an excellent indicator of when the drain clears and we have hit the problem area.
