Generally when it comes to repairing blocked drains the first step is to establish if the blockage is a localised blockage or a main drain blockage. This is where our experienced technicians come in. Our team will be able to conduct testing to determine if the drain is blocked locally or in a main drain line.
If the blockage is localised, we have a range of tools and equipment on board to ensure that the right tool is used for the type of blockage. Types of tools we may use in a localised or internal blockage include an air snake, mini electric eel, air plunging or even professional grade drain acid if required.
If we establish the blockage is in a main drain which may be affected by tree roots, wipes or a foreign object we will attempt to clear the blockage using our 5000 kpa high pressure jet. This jet forces high pressure water through a jet head, that spins with velocity and can clear out tree roots, wipes and most obstructions without losing power over long distances like conventional electric eels.
Once we have cleared the drain, we are able to insert our drain camera to establish what the cause of the blocked drain may be. Sometimes the drain may be broken, crushed or even be falling backwards due to poor installation. Using our locating equipment, we are able to locate the angle in which the drain is falling, where the problem has occurred and at what depth the drain is laid. From here we can make recommendations as to the best course of action to repair your blocked drain including pipe re lining, manual excavation or further pressure jetting.
